today is my absolute favorite day of the year. the 4th of July is a day that makes my American flag carrying, national anthem humming heart soar. take minute today to say “thank you” even if it is only in your heart. we are blessed little folks with a great country defended daily by heroes at home and overseas. There are so many hearts that have stood up to ensure that we have the freedom to put on a sundress and watch the night sky light up with gorgeous fireworks.
please don’t forget today isn’t just about hot dogs, strawberry shortcake and spud salad. today is about being grateful that we have the freedom to say the things on our hearts {like this little piece of blog love}. I know I am a bitty slice of American pie but I truly think we have so many blessings to count as citizens of this chunk of the world. please don’t forget that red, white and blue didn’t {and still doesn’t} come easy.
we live in the land of the free and the home of the brave. be brave enough to it simply, “thank you”.
